Reimagined for a contemporary audience, some of Morris’ most iconic prints are brought into the twenty-first century through bold, larger-than-life scales and reimagined colourways.

Alongside these, new designs inspired by Morris’ poetry and utopian ideals offer a glimpse into a dreamlike future, viewed through the lens of the past.

The collection extends beyond pattern into craft, with fabrics and furniture that celebrate artistry, imagination, and the enduring spirit of creativity.

William Morris Compton Pattern

A love affair between the past and present, House of Hackney has reimagined this William Morris archive print for how we might live today.

Designed in collaboration with Obsolete’s Ray Azoulay, acanthus leaves, tulips, and poppies intertwine in rich golds, greens, and pinks against a backdrop of ‘Midnight’ black.

In sumptuous, British-made cotton velvet, this retelling of an old classic is perfect for upholstery, curtains, blinds, and accessories. Or as a wallpaper as seen in the home office above.

With larger-than-life climbing acanthus leaves, tulips, and poppies, House of Hackney’s retelling of a storied classic sees William Morris’ ‘Compton’ print transformed into modern surrealism.
