A Colorful and Bright 1930s Apartment in Stockholm
This colorful one-bedroom apartment is located on the first floor of a late 1930s building in Stockholm. The 45-square-meter apartment has a nice, flowing floor plan and large windows on two sides, allowing natural light to flow throughout the small home.
The apartment is decorated in a fun and vibrant color palette ranging from blue and green tones in the living room to a red kitchen, and a calmer beige-yellow tone in the bedroom.

Details such as espagnolette windows, stone window sills, and herringbone parquet have been preserved from the year the house was built, adding character to the interior spaces.

The living room is a fun and bright room with light blue walls and a sky blue ceiling. A large window and glass balcony doors let in a lot of light and offer views of the greenery right outside your door.

Thanks to the large trees surrounding the building, the balcony is wonderfully private.

The open doorway between the living room and the kitchen allows light to flow through the apartment.

The love of color extends to the furniture and decor, such as this blue-striped HAY vase or the pastel-colored rug from LAYERED.

In the living room, there is plenty of room for a comfortable seating area and a dining table. A simple wooden table is spruced up with a green tablecloth surrounded by red chairs with zebra-patterned cushions.

From the living room, you move into the kitchen on the other side of the apartment. On this side, the windows also overlook greenery, making this apartment such a peaceful spot despite living in the city.

Simple cabinets are painted in a deep red shade topped with a stainless steel countertop. The walls are painted in a soothing beige shade with the ceiling one shade darker.

On the other side, the owners created a cozy breakfast nook with a red-painted bench with wine storage and Josef Frank textiles.

The bedroom is located next to the kitchen. Honey-beige walls are paired with a light blue ceiling, creating a peaceful atmosphere.

Even in the bathroom they added a splash of color. The white tiles on the walls are paired with blue tiles on the floor and a colorful blue, beige, and green shower curtain.

The hall features a smart storage niche with space for shoes and coats.

The apartment is listed for sale at Historiska Hem.
