A Romantic Pink deVOL Kitchen in an Edwardian Villa
Tucked away in the charming market town of Tring, Hertfordshire, just a short train ride from London, this beautiful kitchen sits quietly within an imposing Edwardian villa. Surrounded by the rolling Chiltern Hills, it’s the kind of place that instantly slows you down.
This kitchen isn’t grand in size, but it feels generous in every other way. High ceilings, large sash windows, and elegant glazed doors flood the space with natural light, creating an airy, open feel that perfectly suits family life. It’s a kitchen designed not just to look good, but to live in.

At the heart of the room, deVOL’s classic Shaker cupboards are painted in the softest Princelet Pink, paired with a practical central island in deVOL’s new color Folgate Green.
Together, these colors bring a gentle sense of calm and balance, enhancing the room’s peaceful character without overwhelming it.

The subtle green and pink kitchen cabinets are paired with marble countertops and backsplashes, along with brass fittings, for an instant classic, romantic look.

What makes this space truly special is the attention to detail. Original features have been carefully restored, or, where necessary, thoughtfully remade, and reinstated with real sensitivity to the home’s Edwardian heritage.
Nothing feels forced or overly polished; instead, the kitchen sits naturally within the architecture, as though it has always been there.

The shelf above the sink is painted in the same pink hue as the cabinets, for a uniform look. A hanging rod with hooks keeps smaller items off the counters, while the shelf is perfect for displaying vintage art, adding a personal touch to the space.

Finishing touches are subtle but considered. A scattering of deVOL accessories adds character, while a large Task Light above the sink provides both function and a quiet sense of style.

Despite its relatively modest footprint, the design works incredibly hard. Clever storage solutions ensure everything has its place without cluttering the room.
Countertop cupboards neatly conceal smaller appliances, while tall, deep cabinetry houses a large fridge and freezer, keeping the space streamlined and uncluttered.

The muted pink, combined with the beige walls, adds a soft, warm, and inviting atmosphere to the kitchen.
