A Charming Apartment with Large Windows and Colorful Bedrooms
In the Swedish city of Gothenburg, you can find this charming corner apartment with large windows, a glazed balcony, and two colorful bedrooms. The apartment complex was built in the 1960s, and some original elements, like the parquet floor and the large windows with marble window sills, have been preserved.
The apartment is designed in a lovely color palette with a gray open-plan living room and kitchen and bolder shades in the bedrooms (earthy red and green). Large windows in two directions create a wonderful airy atmosphere and offer great views of Ruddalen’s beautiful nature.

The living room is painted in a muted gray-green shade that pairs well with the original parquet floor that is laid in a herringbone pattern. Thanks to the corner position, the two huge windows create a light atmosphere and the high position of the apartment means there are unobstructed views of the surrounding nature.

On the left, the living room also opens to a partially glazed balcony, meaning you can sit outdoors even when the temperature isn’t that high yet.

The living space is designed in an open floor plan with a dining table between the sitting room and the kitchen.

The kitchen is renovated and features light wooden cabinets from Puustelli. The bar table serves as a nice divider between the kitchen and living room, so the entire kitchen is not visible from the sitting area.

The walls are painted black, matching the tiles on the floor. The kitchen also features a huge window, so despite the dark color on the walls, the kitchen is very light.

The master bedroom is a very warm room where the walls and ceiling are painted in Jotun’s ‘Grounded Red.’ A similar red shade returns to the bedding, creating a harmonious look.

In the corner, the wardrobes are hidden by a beige curtain, and to maximize storage space, the area above the doorframe is fitted with shelves.

The natural color palette continues in the second bedroom, where the walls are painted a deep green hue.

The spacious hall has plenty of storage cabinets, and the walls are decorated in the Nocturne wallpaper from BorÄstapeter.

The apartment is listed for sale at FastighetsbyrÄn.
