This three-bedroom family apartment is located on the raised ground floor of an 1890s apartment building in the trendy Södermalm area in Stockholm. Space is often limited in these historic apartments, but in this 75 square meter home, the owners managed to create three bedrooms and an open-plan living space.

The apartment showcases period elements from the year of construction, like half-moon windows, pine linden floorboards, mirror doors, and high ceilings. These period elements are paired with a fresh white color scheme, art, and modern interiors.

The apartment has a semi open-plan living space with dedicated areas for sitting, dining, and cooking. Two large arched windows flood the living space with natural light, and this brightness is enhanced by the white color on the walls.

The beautiful pine floorboards add a warm atmosphere to the room, which is combined with a black and white color scheme in the furniture and decor. Art on the walls and books on the shelves add a personal touch. In the corner of the room, they created a home office made from industrial-style IKEA furniture.

Original wooden doors lead to a small room behind the kitchen, which is now a children’s bedroom.
