A Classic Renovated Apartment with a Social Light Green Kitchen
On the third floor of a turn-of-the-century building lies this beautiful, renovated apartment with period features, large windows, and a stunning light green kitchen and dining space.
Here, timeless architecture meets thoughtful craftsmanship in perfect harmony. Every square meter has been used with precision, and every turn-of-the-century detail has been lovingly brought back to life or tastefully reimagined with modern sensibility and deep respect for the building’s soul.
The apartment has undergone a complete transformation where expert craftsmanship and premium materials take center stage. The custom-made spruce floors are as durable as they are elegant. Above, a new ceiling with refined stucco frames each room, adding depth and presence to the space.
Custom joinery enhances both beauty and function throughout. Double doors have been reintroduced to restore the home’s original flow, while built-in wardrobes combine practicality with timeless style.

The living room is bathed in light thanks to two large windows overlooking the treetops.

Period-typical moldings, radiator covers, and a magnificent tiled stove anchor the living room in its historic roots.

The walls are painted in Jotun’s “Kalk”, which gives a soft depth depending on the light. This neutral hue is paired with muted blue in the sofa and the checkered rug.

The apartment has a floor size of only 65 square meters, but the open doorway to the kitchen and the (open) double doors to the bedroom make the apartment feel much bigger.

Next to the living room lies the peaceful bedroom painted in a soft and lovely green shade (Pale Linden from Jotun).

Just as the living room, the room features a beautiful spruce wooden floor and newly designed stucco.

Along one wall runs a built-in wardrobe solution that was built all the way up to the ceiling with doors painted in the same pleasant color as the walls.

The site-built kitchen from STILKÖK is a true showpiece. Crafted entirely from solid wood and fitted with high-end appliances discreetly concealed behind exquisite cabinetry, it blends traditional carpentry with contemporary design.
Every element, from fittings to lighting, has been chosen to preserve the apartment’s clean lines and cohesive aesthetic. Even the electrical wiring has been seamlessly milled into the walls, leaving nothing to distract the eye.

The cabinet doors are painted in Jotun’s “Laurel Tree” and paired with a Portuguese limestone countertop and brass fittings.

On the other side of the room, a built-in bench with storage has been built by the window facing the balcony, creating a wonderful dining area.

During the renovation, the floor plan was redesigned to create a more open and social space where cooking, conversation, and socializing flow together. The kitchen and dining room are now the heart of the home.

The walls in the kitchen are painted in Jotun’s “Kalk” and the moldings in “Sommarsnö”.

The bathroom was not renovated, though the owner did add a new light gray commode, sink, faucet, and mirror cabinet.

The hall features a smart niche with a coat rack and shoe shelves. The top part is decorated with a William Morris wallpaper.
