IKEA Unveils 21 New Smart Home Products Compatible with Matter

IKEA is taking another bold step into the smart home world with the launch of 21 new devices designed to make connected living more straightforward, more affordable, and more accessible than ever.

Focused on lighting, sensors, and smart control, the new collection is fully compatible with Matter, the universal smart home standard that lets products from different brands work seamlessly together.

Rolling out from early 2026, this updated smart home lineup marks a significant evolution of IKEA’s digital living strategy, redesigned from the ground up after years of real-home testing and customer insight.

  • CAR ROAD — Two-button smart remote

All new products are compatible with Matter, enabling them to integrate seamlessly with popular platforms such as Google Home, Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, and Samsung SmartThings.

While the DIRIGERA hub remains IKEA’s recommended controller, users can choose any Matter-certified hub. DIRIGERA also acts as a Matter bridge, ensuring existing IKEA smart products stay compatible even as new ones roll out.

“We want to make smart home technology simple from installation to daily use,” says Stjepan Begic, IKEA Product Developer. “This launch solves more everyday challenges and makes it easier to start, use, and grow a smart home.”

Designed for Real Homes & Real Life

IKEA has been exploring smart home solutions since 2012, but this launch marks a deeper focus on how technology can support daily life, rather than complicate it.

The result? Thoughtful, affordable products that blend quietly into the home while providing comfort, convenience, and peace of mind. With this new range, IKEA isn’t just expanding its smart product lineup; it’s redefining accessible connected living for the mass market.

Whether you’re just getting started with smart lighting or building a fully connected home, IKEA’s newest devices aim to make it simple, scalable, and stylish.
