A Light and Spacious Corner Apartment in a 19th-Century Building
This two-bedroom apartment is located on the second floor of a stylish 19th-century apartment building in Stockholm. The renovated apartment features a light color palette and stylish materials choices that harmonize beautifully with the original features.
Despite being on the second floor, the apartment features nice views through the large windows thanks to the building’s high position on a Södermalm street. The 88 square meter home has charming living spaces (with the living room in the corner position), two bedrooms, and two bathrooms.

The living space is a charming corner room that, thanks to high windows in three directions, is bathed in light. Thanks to the building’s high location, you have a view of the Vitabergsparken from the windows.

The angled walls create a charming atmosphere. The walls are painted in Jotun’s light beige color “Scandinavian Light”, paired with a matt lacquered herringbone parquet.

A green Severen van Muller arched wall lamp adds a nice color pop to the neutral space.

Beautiful double doors separate the living room from the kitchen on one side and one of the bedrooms on the other. With open doors, you can create a wonderful social layout.

The spacious kitchen features two large windows that flood the room with light. There is plenty of space for a large dining table, turning this room into the heart of the home.

The modern, light-gray kitchen cabinets are paired with a marble and stainless-steel countertop and white backsplash tiles.

On the other side of the living room lies the apartment’s master bedroom. The walls, including the wardrobes and cabinets, are painted in the color “Scandinavian Light” from Jotun.

The room is painted in the same color palette as the living room, and also the polkadot pattern returns in the bedroom with the playful headboard.

Wardrobes are fitted around the door, maximizing storage space by using the room’s full height.

The hall connects the apartment well, and from here you can reach all the rooms except the living room.

The second bedroom faces the courtyard. The floor is covered with matt-lacquered herringbone parquet, and the walls, including the custom-built wardrobes and floor-to-ceiling cabinets, are painted in a faint light green tone, giving the room a harmonious feel.

In this room, the wardrobes are also fitted around the door with a bit of space next to the wall, equipped with shelves for books.

The apartment has two bathrooms, designed in the same style with white tiles on the walls and octagonal Carrara marble tiles on the floor. One bathroom has a combined shower and bath, and the other one is fitted with a shower and space for the washing machine and dryer.

The long hall is fitted with built-in storage space and a bench opposite the two bathrooms. The walls, including the wardrobes and cabinets, are painted with Jotun’s yellowish gray-white paint “Timeless”.
