A Colorful London Family Home Renovated by Fraher & Finlay

Award-winning architects Fraher & Finlay have turned a semi-detached mansion in London into a beautiful family home with color accents and light open-plan spaces. Originally two separate houses, the Victorian house dating to c.1880 was unified, renovated, and extended by the architecture firm into a family house with a floorplan over 5,000 sq ft.

The family house, located only a few minutes walk from Beckenham Place Park, features five bedrooms, a large social kitchen and dining space, a playroom, and a cocktail bar in the basement. On top of the stunning interiors, the house also has a large private garden with a big terrace.

The front façade showcases the beautiful combination of original brick, from red to London stock, paired with the contemporary contrasting light Petersen Tegl from Denmark on the extended portions and aluminum-clad dormers at the upper levels.

The front of the house is home to a beautiful sitting room painted in a plaster pink hue by Farrow and Ball. The room is defined by a stunning box-bay window and a restored fireplace.
