Lovely Color Combinations in a Charming One-Bedroom Apartment
This charming one-bedroom apartment on the fifth floor of an early 20th-century apartment building in Stockholm features unique color combinations and views of the surrounding rooftops.
The apartment was recently renovated. The walls and joinery were painted in calm and bright colors that give each room its own identity, and the previously lowered ceiling in the hallway and bathroom were removed so that every room now has beautiful 3-meter-high ceilings.
Moving into the living room, you’re immediately drawn toward the large windows with a beautiful view of the rooftops and nearby Sofia Church.
The walls in the living room are painted in a calm light yellow shade, paired with light gray joinery and high wood paneling.
The yellow walls are lined with artwork and dark wooden furniture pieces add a classic element to the living area.
In the corner there is plenty of space for a large dining table and green-painted bookshelves line the wall, adding another color element to the charming space.
A built-in bench has been created in the hall between the living room and kitchen. The light gray walls are paired with green joinery.
The beautiful glass living room door ensures light flows throughout the apartment.
On the other side of the hall lies the kitchen with a balcony. The kitchen is well-planned, with white Marbodal on either side paired with black backsplash tiles.
There is room for a small kitchen table by the glass balcony door.
Glazed doors lead you to the sunny balcony overlooking the courtyard. The high position gives a nice sense of space and privacy and it is a wonderful extension to the kitchen.
The bedroom is located next to the living room. The entire room (walls, ceiling, joinery, and wardrobes) are painted in a calm blue-gray color.
From the large bedroom window you have a wonderful view of the Stockholm rooftops.
The double bed is surrounded by built-in wardrobes, making the most of the limited space in the small apartment.
The bathroom was renovated a couple of years ago. The floor and walls are covered in Carrara marble tiles, and the remaining walls are painted in a soft beige-yellow shade.
The entry hall features a smart corner shelf with hooks to store coats and small items. A pink mirror adds another color pop paired with the green joinery and gray walls. The oak parquet floor runs throughout the apartment.
