IKEA Opening in Webster: A New Store Coming to the Houston Area in 2026
Home decor lovers, rejoice! IKEA is planting new roots in the Houston area, announcing that its latest Texas store will open in Webster in early summer 2026. The new location at the Center at Baybrook (19801 Gulf Freeway) will mark the Swedish retailer’s tenth store in the state.
“We are thrilled to continue our expansion across Texas to bring the dream of a better home within reach for more people,” says Javier Quiñones, CEO and chief sustainability officer for IKEA U.S. That means more opportunities to explore stylish storage hacks, cozy textiles, and those clever small-space solutions that IKEA fans swear by.

The 93,000-square-foot space is being designed with Houston lifestyles in mind. Expect fully furnished room setups that reflect the way locals live, from family-friendly layouts to efficient work-from-home corners.
Shoppers will be able to browse 7,000 products, including more than 4,800 items ready to take home the same day, and order larger furniture online or in-store with convenient pickup or delivery options.
Planning a dream kitchen or refreshing a bedroom? IKEA Webster will feature a central planning area where shoppers can meet one-on-one with design pros to map out fresh ideas. And yes, the fan-favorite food offerings will all be there too: classic meatballs, veggie dogs, plant-based options, cinnamon buns, and more, perfect for a tasty break or a take-home treat.

Sustainability gets its moment as well. The store will include an As-is Department, giving gently used and discontinued products a new life while helping customers decorate affordably and responsibly.
“I’m excited to bring the IKEA experience and stylish, functional, and affordable home furnishings to more customers in Houston,” says Fredrik Rabe, market manager for IKEA Houston.
With its growing Texas footprint and enhanced online services like Click & Collect and TaskRabbit assembly, IKEA is making it easier than ever for shoppers to bring that signature modern minimalism into their homes.
So go ahead and start planning your first look; those iconic blue bags will be closer than you think.
