A North Downs Home with Four Magnificent Rooms Designed by deVOL
In the North Downs area of southeast England, stands a home with a unique interior. In this home, deVOL Kitchens designed four rooms, each with its own distinct identity, brought to life with exquisite taste and craftsmanship.
This grand project consists of a grand kitchen, a pantry, a coffee corner, and a boot room. Almost the entire deVOL range has been used, from a Haberdasher pantry to Classic English cabinets in the kitchen.
The homeowners chose deVOL for its ability to offer bespoke furniture solutions, cabinetry with distinct personalities, and accessories that bring cohesion without feeling overly styled. The result? A home that feels curated, personal, and entirely unique.

The kitchen is the heart of the home. Classic English deVOL cupboards are paired with a showstopping Officine Gullo island. This is more than just a kitchen island; it’s a multifunctional marvel, seamlessly combining prep space, refrigeration, cooking, steaming, and grilling in a single, majestic unit.
The island is flanked on one side by floor-to-ceiling Classic English deVOL cabinets that hide all the appliances and offer a lot of storage.
Tiled walls, with their soft, graceful curves, lead the eye through cleverly designed adjoining spaces. On one side, a small pantry has been fitted in an alcove, using deVOL’s Haberdasher furniture topped with marble.
On the other side of the kitchen, a larger pantry has been fitted. The design of the pantry is inspired by a traditional butcher’s shop in a nearby village, blending heritage and innovation with ease.
Though the glazed wooden walls enclosing the space weren’t made by deVOL, they were custom-designed by Felicity Interiors to complement the cabinets, ensuring visual harmony throughout.
The walls are covered in classic cream tiles paired with extra-deep shelves and deVOL’s cast iron Scullery Brackets.
A clever bar and coffee station has been neatly integrated into an overlooked corner of the kitchen. Equipped with taps, drainage, coffee machines, and an orderly display of shelving and hanging rails, it transforms a once-unused space into a functional hub with cozy seating nearby.
The Classic English cupboards are topped with a hand-aged copper countertop and wooden shelves paired with deVOL’s Classic Brackets in Brass and fitted with Aged Brass Hanging Rails in front.
An arched doorway with wooden doors leads you to the magnificent, rich-colored boot room.
The boot room is a beautiful space with plenty of storage for coats, shoes, dog beds, and other items. The cabinets and tongue-and-groove paneled walls are painted in a rich burgundy shade and paired with a classic marble checkerboard floor.
