Ochre-Yellow Color Accents in a Cozy Turn-of-the-Century Apartment
This cozy one-bedroom apartment is located on the fourth floor of a turn-of-the-century apartment in Stockholm. The 51 square meter home pairs preserved original features, such as the ceiling height, solid wooden floors, high baseboards, tall windows, and mirrored doors with modern functionality.
The apartment is located in the Cajsa Warg house in the Södermalm area of Stockholm. Cajsa Warg was an 18th-century Swedish cookbook author and one of the best-known cooks in Swedish history.

The apartment has been stylishly renovated, creating a perfect blend between turn-of-the-century charm and modern comforts.
The open-plan living room and kitchen are the heart of the home. The room beautifully pairs light and dark. The tall windows and light beige hue on the walls form a light base, but the dark-stained floorboards and dark-green kitchen cabinets add some drama.

The room has a cozy sitting corner with an ochre-yellow sofa from Westwing, and an old doorway has been turned into built-in shelving. Above the sofa hangs the Queen of Hearts painting by Gerda Wegener.

The space in front of the large windows becomes the natural point for a large dining table.

The kitchen is part of the living room, so it has to be stylish and functional. Dark green cabinets are topped with a dark wood countertop. White backsplash tiles and brass fittings complete the look.

Instead of upper cabinets, the owners opted for shelves above the workspace. It displays the best glassware and crockery, making it not just for storage but also a decorative element in the kitchen area.

The windows are fitted with black flowerpot pendants from &tradition. The deep window sills can also be used for storage.

The niche is fitted with storage cabinets that are beautifully decorated with ochre yellow floral displays.

From the living room, you move into a spacious bedroom with room for an extra sitting area.

The bedroom wall is decorated with the Soaring Cranes wallpaper from Rebel Walls.

The bedroom has a spacious walk-in dressing room, fitted with an ochre-yellow carpet, String shelves, and cabinets. Instead of doors, the wardrobe space can be hidden with ochre-yellow curtains.

The fresh and modern bathroom was renovated a couple of years ago. In style, it is a complete contrast to the rest of the apartment, featuring white tilework and modern cabinets.

The stylish hall features a hat shelf with coat hangers, as well as a built-in closet.
The apartment is listed for sale at Tradition.
