Serene Spaces with Limewash Walls in an English Victorian Home
Do you remember the English house with limewash walls that I posted last week? It’s neighboring house has also been listed for sale, and judging from the interior design, this home is designed by the same designers.
Just as its neighbor house, it has been carefully restored with the help of local restoration experts. Victorian features have been reinstated and paired with a serene palette of limewash walls, wood, and a light color palette.
The kitchen and dining room at the back of the plan is the heart of the home. The room is flooded with natural light thanks to the large windows above the reclaimed Yorkstone sink and the beautiful reclaimed oak doors that lead to the garden.
The dining area is situated on one side of the kitchen with a built in seating bench and shelves.
The doors can be fully opened for a wonderful connection with the outside.
The kitchen features a large island, mid-century science cabinetry, oak countertops, and a glass fronted dresser.
The space between the front room and the kitchen is turned into a cozy sitting room centered around a Dean Forge wood-burning stove.
The small front room with its bay window is now used as a home office.
Upstairs are three bedrooms. The master bedroom is located at the front of the house and has a beautiful bay window, flooding the room with light.
This bedroom has a fireplace, a dressing room or second home office, and an en suite bathroom that can be accessed by the stairs to the loft space.
The loft has been transformed into a modern bathroom with a walk in shower, a double sink, and brass fittings.
Between the master bedroom and the two other bedrooms lies another space with a fireplace that can be used as a living room.
The two other bedrooms each have their own en suite bathroom, one with a bath and the other with a shower. All bedrooms have sisal carpets.
The house is listed for £1,200,000 at Inigo.
