Soft Colors and Magnificent Views in a Stockholm Apartment
An apartment with a view! This two-bedroom home is located on the top floor of a 1920s building in the popular Södermalm area in Stockholm. Thanks to its high location, the apartment has magnificent views of Stockholm’s inlet, Djurgården, and towards Strandvägen.
With its original wooden floors, large windows, and mirror doors, the home’s 1920s atmosphere is still evident. Later updates include a newly created second bedroom with a window in the wall between this room and the kitchen.

The 69-square-meter apartment has a good layout and plenty of built-in storage (as you often see in these older apartments).

The views through the windows in the living room and both bedrooms are magnificent. You can see beautiful older, typically Swedish buildings (how unique that these smaller homes by the water are still standing in the city?), as well as beautiful views of the water, Djurgården (a large nature area in the city center), and the city of Stockholm.

The apartment has an open-plan layout between the hall, kitchen, and living room. These spaces are newly painted in a warm beige shade.

The living room offers enough space for a comfortable seating area by the window and a dining table that connects the living area with the kitchen.

One wall is decorated with the William Morris “Arbutus” wallpaper.

The apartment is of modest size, but thanks to the open layout, the living areas feel more spacious.

The kitchen (renovated in 2019) features a classic design with white HTH cabinets, light composite countertops, white wall tiles, and golden handles.

A smart storage niche adds extra storage space without cluttering up the countertop.

The newly fitted window in the wall between the kitchen and the smallest bedroom allows natural light to flow into the kitchen space.

The social layout connecting the kitchen to the dining table and seating area lends itself perfectly to dinner parties.

The smallest bedroom is now a charming children’s bedroom, but it could also be a magnificent home office with a view!

The owners brought the view of the sky indoors by adding a soft cloud wallpaper to the walls.

A small desk/craft area is fitted in the corner.

The largest bedroom is located on the other side of the living room. Here, the walls are painted in a gentle green color paired with furniture made of natural materials.

The master bedroom also features magnificent views through the original windows.

One wall is fitted with classic-style wardrobes, adding plenty of storage space.

The master bedroom comes with its own bathroom, featuring a corner bath and a washing machine with a wooden top and shelves for storage.

The white wall tiles are paired with a warm terracotta color on the floor.

The open hall gives access to a spacious walk-in closet and a second bathroom with a shower.

The smaller bathroom is designed using simple white wall tiles and gray cement tiles on the floor.
