Wallpaper and Historic Charm in a Swedish Apartment
The real estate agent describes this Swedish apartment as ‘a timeless oasis where the charm of history meets the comfort of today.’ And I can see why she would describe it that way. Every room in this house features original elements, but the rooms are also light, spacious, and decorated with modern design.
The owners of this 90-square-meter apartment decorated the home in muted tones of gray and green, creating a comfortable atmosphere in all rooms. The living room and kitchen are decorated with floral wallpaper which pairs so well in combination with the ceiling rosettes and molding.
The original wooden floors, ceiling ornaments, and big windows in the living room are all beautiful. But the real star of the room is the original green and ornate fireplace in the corner, what a stunner.
Classic and modern design go hand in hand in this room.
The kitchen has a classic look with gray cabinets, white tiles, and William Morris ‘Acanthus’ wallpaper on the walls.
The kitchen also gives access to the apartment’s balcony.
The apartment has three bedrooms that are all painted in light gray tones and feature wooden floorboards and original ornaments on the ceiling. The hallway is fitted with built-in wardrobes, so there is no need for wardrobes and drawers in the bedrooms, keeping them spacious and relaxing spaces.
A very subtle color accent in the second bedroom thanks to the pastel pink bedding and green nightstand/pouf.
The bathroom is fitted with Marrakesh tiles on the floor.
