A Charming 1960s Family Home in Stockholm
This 1960s family home is situated in a serene area of Enskede, Stockholm, where the houses are arranged in a pattern reminiscent of a lucky four-leaf clover. This 110 square meter home pairs well-thought-out architecture of the 1960s with modern functionality.
The townhouse has been carefully renovated over the years, preserving original elements from the 1960s, like wooden floors, built-in wardrobes, and the staircase. The house has a playful layout with ‘half plans’ creating a dynamic and fun family home.

You enter the home on the basement floor with a hall, a bathroom, and a utility space, but we are moving straight to the ground floor, where you find a large kitchen and dining space with glass doors opening to the garden.

The kitchen space spans the entire width of the house, with a large dining area with a blue-painted wooden bench and vintage chairs on one side, and the cooking area on the opposite wall.

The kitchen was renovated in 2017 by Snickarglädje, creating a built-in look using Ikea frames that have been varnished and covered with panels and moldings.

The blue and green cabinets are paired with a poured concrete countertop and white backsplash tiles.

The kitchen space features a white-finished pine floor and light gray walls.

We move on to the house’s top floor, where you will find a charming living room, a bedroom, and a playroom.

The living room features a brick fireplace in the corner and the original white-finished wooden floor.

The room features a built-in bookcase around the wide opening to the staircase.

A few steps up from the living room is a charming playroom/bedroom with walls painted pink and a dark green bed niche.

The doors of the original built-in cabinets are painted in the same pink shade as the walls.

The bedroom on the floor features the same original floor as the living room as well as original built-in wardrobes.

The ‘half floor’ between the living room and the kitchen is home to two more bedrooms.

In the parents’ bedroom, the walls are painted in “Denim Drift” from Nordsjö and carpeted in natural white wool that gives a warm and cozy feeling. There are two original built-in wardrobes in the corner of the room.

The second bedroom is now a charming kids’ room with walls painted in a faint pink shade called ‘Ballet.’

There is a garden at the front and the back of the house. The back garden features a wood-fired sauna.

The front garden features a large wooden deck as well as various flowers and plants.
