A Light-Filled Contemporary Swedish Apartment
On the ground floor of an early 20th-century building in Gothenburg lies this newly created one-bedroom apartment filled with light and a private courtyard terrace. The entire apartment has been styled by Emma Fischer, creating a tranquil oasis in the middle of the city.
The 56-square-meter apartment is designed with high-quality materials like oak and limestone, creating a timeless, elegant home that perfectly exemplifies Scandinavian interior design style.

The apartment has an open-plan living space with large windows and glass doors leading to the private terrace. The light atmosphere is amplified by the light shade on the walls (Kokos by Jotun).

The room isn’t big, but it has a nice layout with a niche area for the kitchen, space for a small table by the wall, and a comfortable seating area defined by a large rug.

The elegant kitchen with oak cabinets is equipped with exclusive appliances from Bertazzoni and a brass faucet.

From the living room, you can access a charming wooden courtyard terrace with space for a dining table and lounge chairs.

A beautiful reeded glass door in an oak frame separates the bedroom from the living area while also maintaining a nice light flow.

The bedroom is contemporary, Scandinavian style at its finest. A herringbone parquet floor is paired with gray walls, a jute rug, and layered textiles.

White tones are paired with brown and dark gray for a warm and cozy atmosphere.

A beautiful, simple nightstand is created from a piece of marble.

The room is fitted with wardrobes in the same oak as the kitchen cabinets. The door leads to a small walk-in closet.

The large windows, high ceilings, and sheer white curtains create a light and airy atmosphere.

The small niche by the door is perfect for a small home office.

The bathroom can be accessed via the living room. The large and luxurious bathroom is designed with Norrvange Light Grey tiles on the floor and parts of the wall, paired with Tetris Sage tiles.

The hallway features limestone floor tiles and a built-in oak wardrobe.
