A Stockholm Apartment with a Butter-Yellow Bedroom
This apartment is located on the top floor of a 1930s apartment building in the Södermalm area in Stockholm and offers one of the finest views of the city overlooking the City Hall and Riddarfjärden from the living room windows.
1930s elements like original windows, ceiling rose, and door frames are paired with a contemporary interior style, and the home features a calm color palette of beige, yellow, and pink shades.

The 54 square meter apartment has an open-plan living room and kitchen with two large windows offering gorgeous Stockholm views. The walls are painted in a soft beige shade paired with a classic herringbone parquet floor.

The sitting corner features a corner sofa and clear coffee tables, as well as a green “hanging lamp n°2” by Muller van Severen.

A dining area with chairs and a bench if fitted in front of the large windows with deep window niches.

The kitchen was renovated in 2024, featuring gray IKEA Havstorp cabinets paired with terrazzo countertops.

Two red flowerpot pendants by &Tradition hang above the kitchen island.

A small room next to the kitchen has been turned into a charming children’s room painted in two shades of pink with a nice mural. Built-in wooden shelves add storage, and there is just enough room for a single bed.

The master bedroom is painted in a soft butter-yellow shade from Alcro. The long wall around the bed has been completely fitted with built-in wardrobes, painted the same shade as the walls.

A small built-in wooden desk in the corner of the room offers a nice place to work.

IKEA Ivar cabinets are topped with a pink Jenny Mushroom lamp from Dyberg Larsen.

The master bedroom also gives access to a spacious balcony overlooking the green courtyard.
