A Light 1930s Apartment with a Bubblegum Pink Bedroom
This 41 square meter apartment is located in a 1930s ‘functionalist’ apartment building in Stockholm. The one-bedroom apartment features a typical layout for homes built during this period, with a glass wall between the kitchen and the bedroom.
The apartment is wonderfully light, thanks to the large windows, high ceilings, and the light color scheme in the decor. Some elements have been preserved from the 1930s, including wooden floors, doors, and window sills.

The living room is decorated in a typical Scandinavian style with a beige corner sofa and light color tones. The beige shade on the walls and the wooden floorboards add warmth to the room.

The IKEA JÄTTEBO corner sofa is paired with a zebra-patterned rug and the MONSHI wall lamp from Jotex.

On the other side of the room, a glass dining table is paired with four Cesca chairs.

The kitchen, renovated in 2021, is practical and stylish. Beige kitchen cabinets are topped with a marble countertop and stainless steel appliances.

The fittings on the cabinets match the 1930s style of the apartment.

A glass wall and door separate the kitchen from the bedroom, ensuring the room receives natural light from the bedroom window.

While the kitchen and the living room are decorated in a neutral palette, the owner went wild in the bedroom. The walls are painted in a fantastic bubblegum pink shade.

A low bedframe is paired with a simple wooden cube side table with a mirror top, a standing mirror, and a fluffy rug.

There are built-in wardrobes in the bedroom and the living room for storage space.

The small hall is practical with high shelves and an IKEA shoe cabinet.
The apartment is listed for sale at Kulturarvsspecialisterna Fastighetsförmedling.
