A Charming Color Palette in an Early 20th Century Apartment
In a peaceful location in Stockholm lies this charming one-bedroom apartment, featuring a charming color palette and period details from the early 20th century. Original details such as ceiling rosettes, mirrored doors, and serving cabinets have been preserved, adding historic character to the colorful spaces.
The charm from the 1910s is combined with timeless material choices, and the well-thought-out color palette of pink, pistachio green, sage green, and light yellow creates a soft, colorful, and vibrant atmosphere.

The living room is a cozy and inviting space with plenty of windows and glass doors leading to the courtyard balcony, extending the living area in the warmer months.

The walls in the living room are freshly painted with an organic paint in the muted pink color “Silk Weave” from Byggfabriken, while the moldings and window joinery are painted with organic red-brown paint from Toniton.

The warm, earthy tones on the walls and joinery are paired with an equally warm ochre-yellow shade in the furniture.

The spacious room has enough room for a dining table, though the current owners opted to create a home office in the living room.

The original serving cabinet in the hallway adds historic character to the home.

The kitchen is a bright space with white walls and cabinets and a large window flooding the room with light.

The kitchen has classic doors topped with stainless steel and a marble backsplash. The generous ceiling height has been effectively utilized by incorporating a double row of upper cabinets.

The space in front of the window is perfectly suited for a dining table. With a bench against the wall, you can even add more seating space.

The walls in the hall are painted a dull light yellow, while the moldings and the beautiful mirrored doors are painted white.

The walls in the bedroom are painted a pistachio green, and the moldings are painted sage green. These green hues are paired with earthy beige-brown shades in the textiles, creating a natural and warm space.

One wall is fitted with floor-to-ceiling wardrobes, while the wall next to the bed also features lower cabinets for plenty of storage space.

I like the mixture of closed cabinets with a hanging rod. It makes the wardrobe wall feel less bulky.
