A Charming 1950s Family Home with a Lovely Garden
This cozy and well-preserved 1950s home is located in a family-friendly area just south of central Stockholm. The area was built in the 1950s, and all the gardens are connected, so kids can roam freely.
The family home was built in the 1950s and features a typical layout of homes from this period. The ground floor has a semi-open, continuous floor plan, with the living room, kitchen, and dining room connected.
The home features three bedrooms (one on the ground floor) and two on the upper floor. The basement has been converted into a stand-alone studio with a separate entrance. The house is surrounded by patios and a garden, including a cozy covered garden room by the front door.

Connecting the indoor spaces with the outdoors is this charming garden room by the front door. Decorated with a large table with a bench and plenty of plants, it’s a cozy spot to enjoy the outdoors while still being sheltered.

The kitchen is the heart of the ground floor plan, flanked by the hall on one side and the kitchen/dining room on the other.

The walls in the living room are decorated with the gold-patterned “Marais” wallpaper by the Swedish brand Mimou.

In the corner of the room stands a beautiful 50s fireplace with brickwork and marble floor tiles.

The living room flows directly into the kitchen and dining area. The dining table is placed in front of the window atop a vintage Persian rug.

The kitchen is furnished with cabinets and drawers with cream-white fronts and brass fittings, grey-black laminate worktops, and fully tiled walls. The tile floor is painted in a dark gray color.

Around the corner, floor-to-ceiling cabinets hide the fridge, and from here you walk straight into the hallway.

The spacious hall connects all rooms on the ground floor. It features a walk-in wardrobe with Svenskt Tenn wallpaper and a classic checkered linoleum floor.

The light bedroom on the ground floor features a light plank feature wall and a window facing the garden.

The master bedroom of the house is a cozy room with gray walls and storage space under the sloped ceiling. There is also a built-in wardrobe behind a veneered door.Â

The dark gray tones on the walls are paired with warm ochre-yellow textiles.

The other bedroom is a large room divided by a folding wall to provide separate spaces for two children.

The room has two cozy beds under a sloping ceiling and built-in wardrobes next to it. The walls and sloping ceiling are painted green and dark blue, respectively.

The plot features garden space at the front and the back of the house.

The wooden deck at the front features a pergola decorated with string lighting and seating underneath.

The back garden features a paved patio, a lawn, trees, and a garden shed.
