A Beautiful Shaker-Style deVOL Kitchen in a Victorian House
Like many Victorian terrace houses, the owners of this home decided to open up the space and create an open-plan living, dining, and kitchen. For the kitchen design, they enlisted the help of deVOL Kitchens, creating a beautiful social space with classic furniture that pairs beautifully with the period elements of the Victorian home.
Even though the space is open, with a new extension in the back featuring a huge skylight, the room harmonizes perfectly with the restored original elements, creating a characterful living and cooking area that you simply want to spend time in.

For the kitchen, the owners chose the deVOL Shaker cabinets painted in a chalky neutral bespoke color that deVOL mixed for them specifically.
The light-colored Shaker cabinets are paired with a full-height pantry cabinet next to the range cooker painted in a deep brown hue.
The dark red stone floor adds French country house style style to the London kitchen.
The Shaker cabinets are paired with a marble countertop, brass fittings, a butler sink, and two Narrow Pleat Porcelain pendant lights from deVOL.
The beautiful tile floor seamlessly blends with the wooden floorboards of the dining room at the front of the house.
The old fireplace niche is turned into a perfect spot for a range cooker with brass accents.
One of the alcoves in the dining room is fitted with the Butler Pantry from the deVOL Heirloom collection. The freestanding cupboard is painted in deVOL’s ‘Princelet Pink’ inside and out.
