A Bright Turn-of-the-Century Apartment in Sweden
The Scandinavian interior style has turned away from the extremely white spaces, but every now and then, you can still see a home in this style, and today, I want to share this turn-of-the-century apartment with you.
The apartment has undergone a careful renovation with meticulous craftsmanship, creating a perfect balance between preserved turn-of-the-century details and modern functions. The high ceilings and large windows turn the rooms into bright spaces, enhanced by the light color scheme.

The living room is a bright and airy space with two large windows. High skirting boards frame the room, and combined with stucco and ceiling rosettes, you get the authentic feel of the turn of the century.Â
In the corner of the room stands an original tiled fireplace, adding warmth and coziness to the living room.
When the internal doors are opened, you can look trough the apartment to the kitchen. And with windows on both sides, it adds even more natural light to the interior spaces.
The kitchen is newly renovated with light gray doors paired with a wooden countertop. In the center of the room is plenty of space for a large dining table. You can also add a built-in bench to create a more open feeling in the room.
The striped wallpaper accentuates the high ceilings in the apartment.
Between the living room and the kitchen is an inner hall, which the owners turned into a small home office using String shelves as a desk.
The bedroom is a charming space with angled walls facing the courtyard. The walls are decorated with the Willow Bough wallpaper from William Morris.
The hallway featured large wardrobes, adding lots of storage space. The walls are decorated in the Chrysanthemum wallpaper from William Morris and the wooden floorboards are white stained.
The apartment was listed for sale at Bjurfors.
