A Cozy Art-Filled Attic Apartment in London
The top floor of a Victorian mansion block in London is completely reimagined by top interior designed Martin Brudnizki. The two-bedroom apartment, with an open-plan living space, is decorated in an inviting style filled with period features and art.
The entire 876 square feet home feels warm and welcoming thanks to the cohesive color palette of calm, muted tones, layered textiles, high-class materials, and artwork. And thanks to its top-floor location, the apartment is light and offers wonderful views.
The open-plan living space is a magnificent room with windows on two sides. The walls are decorated with the green seagrass wallpaper from Altfield, paired with ochre yellow wool twill curtains from Fox Linton.
The sitting area is centered around two sash windows with a salamander silk sheer modesty panel for privacy. A comfortable sofa with cushions in ochre yellow and blue tones is paired with two popping red armchairs.
The walls in the apartment are adorned with artwork, creating personal spaces.
On the other side of the room stands a generous wooden dining table with a bench against the wall. The entire room is tied together with a large rug in muted blue shades.
Through a wide doorway, you enter the kitchen with a large window in the slanted wall with custom linen blinds.
The custom white cabinets are paired with polished nickel hardware and a double bullnose white Carrara countertop.
The built-in cabinets on one side are adorned with small artwork.
The bathroom is a super stylish space with floor-to-ceiling Carrera marble walls and Carrera marble hexagon floor tiles.
A classy marble sink sits in the corner and on the opposite site of the bathroom are built-in cabinets.
The master bedroom is a charming space decorated with an Amalfi silk wall covering by Philip Jeffries and a bay window, flooding the room with light. The bay window is also an excellent spot for a comfy chair.
The two niches on both sides of the bed are turned into storage spaces with an open wooden cabinet. The colorful artwork above the bed adds some vibrant color accents to the otherwise muted space.
The second bedroom is turned into a walk-in closet and home office. The room is decorated with seagrass wallpaper and on one side, five built-in wardrobes add loads of storage space.
The bay window has a beautiful antique vanity table/desk.
Even the hallway is decorated with art. The walls are painted in the calm ‘Parma Grey’ hue from Farrow and Ball.
The house is listed for £925,000 at Inigo.
