A Former School Turned Light-Filled and Charming Loft in Amsterdam
I love it when history and present day come together in houses. This bright loft is located in a former school building in Amsterdam. Many of the pupils and teachers of that school were artists and some of their work can even be admired in the Jewish Historic Museum. Now the building houses not only homes but also ateliers so the tradition of it being a creative spot continues even now, so lovely!
The home I’ll show you is lovely, bright and colorful. A large open plan living space houses a sitting area, kitchen, dining and small office (or bedroom). Upstairs are cozy attic bedrooms with exposed wooden beams, the master bedroom has a open en-suite bathroom at a lower level which makes the bedroom look larger than it is. The bathroom have beautful Portuguese tiles giving them a charming and historic look. Old school charm, modern living and a rich history come together in this stunning home.
