A Romantic 1920s Villa with Views of the Lake
A stone’s throw away from busy Stockholm city life stands a large villa in ‘national romantic style.’ The house is located next to Lake Sicklasjön and a nature reserve on the other side of the lake. The home features large slatted windows that can be fully opened, creating magnificent views of the garden, water, and nature.
The 1920s feel has been preserved, and the original details—wooden floors, ceiling rosettes, mirrored doors, fireplace, and more—provide a charming setting. Around the house lies a charming garden, which is divided into different rooms by bricked natural stone terraces and also features a grand oak.

On the ground floor lies a lovely open-plan living room with windows in three directions.

The sitting area is centered around a traditional fireplace, and the walls are painted a romantic pink hue.

From the sitting area, you walk into the glass veranda, now a great dining room with a large rustic wooden table. The doors connects the room with the garden.

With windows in three directions, you’re completely surrounded by nature in this room.

The kitchen was renovated in recent years. It is built in solid wood, and the cabinets are painted with light gray linseed oil paint on mirrored doors and drawers, and pine countertops.

The walls is the kitchen are painted in a warm beige tone and the room also has room for a generous kitchen table.

The hall connects all rooms on the ground floor and is painted in a warm ochre yellow tone.

On the first floor are four bedrooms, all of which have beautiful views of the surrounding nature.
