A Soft and Natural Color Palette in a Victorian Home
Behind a pastel-colored facade on a quiet street in Hackney lies a beautiful four-bedroom home where period features are paired with natural and sympathetic materials to create a stunning, calm home.
The Victorian house underwent a comprehensive restoration and extension project by Partner London to make this historic home ready for contemporary living. A soft and natural color palette of beige, green, and blue creates comforting interior spaces.

The ground floor is home to a double living room with a sitting area at the front and the dining room at the back. Original features, like the wooden floorboards and bay window shutters, have been restored, while new additions have been carefully selected to blend in perfectly with the old bones of the house.
The designers played with light and dark in the living spaces. While the front room is decorated in a light color palette, the dining room is painted in a beautiful green hue, paired with natural furniture like a wooden table, wicker chairs, and rattan cabinets.
The kitchen has undergone a big renovation; the ceiling has been raised so the wooden beams are now visible, a new layout has been implemented, and a skylight has been added.
The bespoke dark blue cabinets are paired with terrazzo worktops and antique brass taps.
A charming small dining nook has been created between the cabinets features open and closed cabinets, which gives a nice lived-in look to the kitchen.
The master bedroom is decorated in a warm dark beige color, featuring a wall of modern built-in wardrobes and an industrial style bedframe.
The family bathroom is a magnificent space with a rolltop bath overlooking the garden and timeless materials like marble and encaustic tiles.
The bathroom also features a reclaimed marble-topped antique vanity.
The loft conversion designed by Partner London features two bedrooms and a beautiful small bathroom with neutral-colored tiles and unlacquered brass accents.
The house was listed for sale at Aucoot.
