A Studio Apartment with Vintage Green Cabinets
The floorplan of this studio apartment in Stockholm is only 25 square meters, but with a large window and a private balcony with views of a forest, this studio feels bigger than it is. The studio has an open floor plan; no doors exist between the living space, kitchen, and hallway, which also helps to create a more spacious feeling.
The apartment complex was built in the 1930s, and its original features, like the kitchen cabinets, the parquet floor, and the built-in cabinets in the hallway, have been preserved. Therefore, the Swedish studio has a nice midcentury vibe.

The herringbone parquet in the studio adds a classic touch to the studio apartment. The wall between the living room and kitchen has been fitted with bookshelves, which creates a nice lived-in and cozy vibe.
It’s only a small room, but there is enough room for a double bed, a sofa, and a dining table.
When you live in a small home, you need to be clever with the available space. The owner of this studio apartment opted for a raised bed with underneath storage.
The large south-facing window and generous ceiling height create a spacious feeling. The studio has a large balcony which extends the living space in the warmer months.
The site-built kitchen is original from 1939, and the bench cupboards have linden flower green doors with classic tick locks. The parts above the gas stove, the sink, and the white-glazed workbench are covered with original white tiles.
The walls in the kitchen are painted in a very pale green shade, complimenting the cabinets.
The hallway features two built-in original wardrobes with overhead cabinets. The doors and shutters of the wardrobes are painted in a lime green shade.
