A Two-Bedroom Apartment with a Charming Bathroom

In the Södermalm area of Stockholm lies this charming apartment with two bedrooms, a spacious kitchen with a dining area, lovely balcony facing the courtyard, and a artist-designed bathroom.

The three-meter high ceilings, white-glazed wooden floorboards, mirrored doors, and deep and high window niches showcase the apartment’s history that was built in the early 1910s. These historical elements are paired with interiors showcasing a lovely blend of contemporary and antique items.

The living room is a charming space with light walls, wooden floorboards, and two large windows. Two blue sofas are facing each other, and a nice dynamic bookshelf system hangs on the wall.

A former doorway is turned into built-in shelves, and the turquoise and red floor tiles are a reminder of a fireplace that used to stand in this spot.

The kitchen is a charming, bright, and slightly angular room with classic white IKEA cabinets paired with wooden worktops and white tiles.

At the far end of the room is a charming dining area by the window and a built-in pantry.

The ceiling height has been taken advantage of with a double row of upper cabinets. I think it’s nice that the owners added a combination of closed and glass cabinets, as well as shelves.

The bedroom is a light and charming room with light walls and bedding paired with warmer tones in the velvet headboard and curtains. The room also opens to the balcony.

The second bedroom is now a charming children’s room with muted blue walls and cabinets.

The bathroom was designed by an artist who previously lived in the apartment. The walls are tiled and mosaic in green and blue paired with a classic checkerboard floor and a black clawfoot bath.

The spacious hall connects all the rooms in the house. The walls are painted in a dark green hue.
