Moody Hues with Bright Color Pops in an Edinburgh Home

Artist Tessa MacGregor bought this Georgian apartment in Edinburgh after she sold her tiny studio in London (for the same price, eeek!). But here in Edinburgh she has the space to combine home and studio.

Tessa was inspired by Abigail Ahern after attending a workshop at Abigail’s home. If you’re familiar with Abigail’s work you can definitely see the inspiration in Tessa’s home. The moody base of her home is combined with bright color pops, artwork and a combination of textiles and patterns.

Not only the decor in Tessa’s home is fantastic but also the architectural bones of this apartment are to die for. Flagstone tiles, high ceilings with cornicing and ceiling roses, and lovely fireplaces give this home that period look we all love so much. Tessa’s home is a wonderful collection of colors, patterns and styles.
