Bright and Neutral Colors in A Stylish Apartment in Stockholm
If you love the combination of bright and neutral color tones than this is the home for you. Helena Sand lives with her boyfriend in a 1905 apartment in Stockholm.
Her interior style is ever changing, she always starts from scratch when she moves into a new home. New furniture, new design style, new ideas.
This apartment in the Östermalm region of Stockholm is a homage to color in combination with neutral luxurious (or luxurious-looking) furnishings.
The living room that looks out over the green courtyard is painted in a bright yellow. And it’s not just the walls that have been given this cheerful color tone. The ceiling has also been painted so you’re completely surrounded by this sunny yellow hue.
To balance it out, the furnishings are very neutral. Helena loves Belgian linen sofa’s but because they’re so expensive she bought an affordable option, removed the back cushions which has given it a completely new look. And that grey Togo chair by Ligne Roset is just the perfect chair to relax in.
The hallway is also painted in a expressive color (“Roneröd” by Jotun) and from there we move to more calmer color tones.
The color combinations are a lot calmer in the kitchen which is a combination of wood, white and beige.
The bedroom is painted in a grey tone (“Space” by Jotun) but it does have a nice yellow color touch in the HAY clothing rack.
It’s so nice to see this combination of bright and neutral in this amazing apartment, I’m a bit jealous of her home (and the fact that she lives in Stockholm)
