A Colorful Late 19th-Century Stockholm Apartment
On the second floor of a richly decorated Neo-Renaissance building from the late 19th century, lies this fantastic two-bedroom apartment featuring period elements and a wonderful color scheme of green and pink tones.
The 77-square-meter apartment features original elements, such as mirrored doors, panels, and stucco work, paired with a contemporary color palette, a new modern kitchen and bathroom, and modern Scandinavian furnishings.

The open-plan living room and kitchen are the heart of the home, flanked by the apartment’s two bedrooms.

The wall above the sofa is decorated with artworks from Bobo Wallmansson.

The light room is painted in a lovely shade of green with joinery painted in a darker green tone. The green tones are paired with a classic herringbone parquet floor.

The modern kitchen features white doors, extra-high upper cabinets to maximize the high ceilings, and stainless steel appliances.

Two huge windows with deep window niches flood the living space with natural light.

The space in front of the windows is a natural area for a large dining table. The glass table and the mirror fitted between the windows add a sense of space.

The master bedroom is a romantic room painted in two shades of pink, a light salmon pink on the walls and a darker pink for the joinery.

Modern built-in wardrobes run to the ceiling, adding a lot of storage space, and a sliding door opens to the bathroom (that can also be accessed via a sliding door in the kitchen).

The simple, modern bathroom features a walk-in shower, gray tilework on the floor and walls, and a white drawer vanity under the sink.

The smaller bedroom is now a charming nursery. The walls and cabinets are painted baby blue, while the moldings and the beautiful stucco ceiling are painted pink. The floor is covered with a new carpet.

The L-shaped hall features the same color palette as the living room. Just off the hall is a spacious walk-in wardrobe/utility space.

The hall is fitted with white shoe cabinets and a corner wardrobe.
