Copper Worktops in A Sebastian Cox Kitchen by deVOL
The kitchen designs from deVOL kitchens come in four styles. I have often shared projects with the Shaker cabinets and the Classic English cabinets, but they also offer Haberdasher kitchens and Sebastian Cox kitchens. And today, I want to share a beautiful kitchen created with the Sebastian Cox cabinets.
In the early summer of 2015, deVOL fitted their first Sebastian Cox kitchen in their Cotes Mill showroom. The kitchen range was first shown at the Clerkenwell Design Week, and after many positive notes, they reused the furniture in their showroom.
When they first installed this kitchen in their showroom, the design was simple and minimalistic. While this design was also beautiful, the designers at deVOL decided to revamp this Sebastian Cox kitchen display with a larger showroom and warmer colors.

They added atmospheric glazed partitions between the ancient beams and posts of the building to create a new layout in the space. The bare brick walls are painted in a subtle blush shade, adding a rustic and warm backdrop for the simple and contemporary Sebastian Cox cupboards.
The Sebastian Cox cabinets are paired with five meters of copper worktop. This copper statement piece adds a warm glow to the kitchen and pairs wonderfully with the modern cabinets.
The kitchen cabinets are painted in deVOL’s own “Inky Blue Black” shade which is paired with cabinets painted in the “Natural” shade for the sink cabinets and the full height storage cabinet. This combination of colors adds a nice contrast to the space.
Coffee curtains in front of the windows add a soft and homely vibe to the room.
Central in the room stands a large kitchen island with a wooden top and big drawers for storage.
One nook of the kitchen is now home to a pantry and prep table. The shelf is perfect for showing crockery, and the Heirloom Task Light adds a soft glow to the corner.
