Graham & Brown Color and Design of the Year 2025
Every year, British paint and wallpaper company Graham & Brown releases a color and design of the year. Today, they announced Elderton as their Color of the Year 2025 and Rivington Folly as their Design of the Year 2025.
With this color and design, the company celebrates its cultural roots and British heritage. It has taken inspiration from closer to home, and the design is inspired by Rivington Terraced Gardens, known locally as the lost garden.
“When my grandfathers Harold and Henry founded Graham & Brown in 1946, their vision was to help post-war Britain create loving homes with beautifully crafted products.
This passion for authentic design continues today, as shown in our Design and Colour of the Year 2025. We are delighted to share these designs, which were created with love and attention to detail. Enjoy using Rivington Folly and Elderton to create your loving home!” says Andrew Graham MBE, Chief Executive
Graham & Brown Color of the Year 2025
Elderton takes its name from the humble elder tree. A traditional native shrub or tree, the elder is a beautiful plant. Some varieties have almost deep brown leaves, which is where the Elderton Hue originates. This timeless, charming shade is a perfect neutral brown that will never go out of style. It perfectly matches the 2025 Design of the Year, Rivington Folly.

Rivington Folly is a dramatic artwork filled with ancient trees that rise up through the landscape and envelop the space. The trees are pigmented in a dark tertiary hue with reddish undertones, similar to the ages of arboretum stones.
The photo wallpaper design and the specific color palette capture the essence of Graham & Brown’s local Lancashire landscape, with a beautiful display of aged buildings against a backdrop of beautiful greenery in the Arboretum.
The Design of the Year ‘Rivington Folly’ is available in five wallpaper colors, four custom photo wallpaper colors, and custom curtains and window decorations.
