Green Tones in a Renovated Stockholm Duplex Apartment
With views over the rooftops of the popular Södermalm district in Stockholm and a two-story layout, this renovated duplex apartment is a welcoming home in Sweden. The entire apartment was renovated in 2020 with a new kitchen, freshly painted walls, a new herringbone parquet laid upstairs, and custom-made wardrobes fitted in the bedroom.
The warm wooden floors and painted walls bring a comforting atmosphere to the rooms. A spiral staircase connects the lower floor with the attic floor that houses the bedrooms. You have all the benefits of apartment living while also that feeling of living in a ‘proper’ home.
The dove blue color on the walls and the oak herringbone parquet floor turn the living room into a comforting space. The room is not big, but it can easily house a sofa and a dining table.
The yellow coffee table and pink sofa bring some cheerful color accents to the room.
The renovated kitchen features a smart breakfast table in front of the window, made from the same material as the kitchen worktops.
The kitchen is renovated by Snickarglädje Stockholm AB and is furnished with frames from Ikea with carpentry doors that are hand-painted green and have chrome fittings with leather wrapping.
The green kitchen cabinets are topped with granity worktops that feature hints of green.
The hall is painted in a muted green color and features the spiral staircase that brings you to the bedrooms on the top floor.
The master bedroom is a spacious room under the sloped ceiling and features a wooden floor, exposed beams, and custom built-in wardrobes that are painted in a light green shade.
The room is big enough to feature a home office.
The second bedroom has the same slanted ceilings and exposed beams.
