IKEA GOKVÄLLÅ: An Enchanting Limited Ramadan Collection
IKEA has announced the launch of a special new limited collection. GOKVÄLLÅ is an enchanting collection explicitly designed for the fasting month. GOKVÄLLÅ means ‘good evening’ in the Swedish Småland dialect, and this collection will add a touch of extra atmosphere during iftar and sahoor.
The collection includes luxurious table accessories, atmospheric lighting, and cozy cushions and throws. The products in the GOKVÄLLÅ collection are easily combined with other items and, therefore, also suited for other festive occasions.
As the first sliver of the crescent moon appears in the night sky, the celebration of Ramadan begins. The collection lets you make the most of this special month, from sunrise to iftar, from quiet self-reflection and breaking the fast to rounding it up with delicious food at fun gatherings with loved ones.
Make this year’s Ramadan one to remember with colorful textiles that make quiet time extra dreamy and festive tableware and decorations for epic iftar dinners.
Make your home feel extra special – and comfortable – during the long days of Ramadan. With these GOKVÄLLÅ textiles, you can create a peaceful and cozy retreat where you can quietly reflect and reconnect with yourself. And maybe sneak in some power naps, as well.
‘The design of the GOKVÄLLÅ collection is inspired by the cycle between day and night, which is clearly visible in the patterns and the yellow and blue shades with hints of pink as a dynamic touch.’ says designer Luna Gil
Make breaking the fast extra special with the GOKVÄLLÅ collection. These floor cushions, serveware, candles, and decorations help create a comfortable yet festive spot to recharge and reconnect after a long day of fasting.
‘The colorful, modern, and fun objects in the GOKVÄLLÅ Ramadan collection are easy to combine with each other. I hope they will inspire many festive and memorable experiences with loved ones during Ramadan – and all year round’. says designer Lisa Hilland
Add a touch of wonder to your evening coffee with this kava cup. Made of Feldspar porcelain, the ceramics in the collection were designed with a new embossing technique where you can feel the raised pattern.
When guests have left, and it is time to tidy up, store your dinnerware in this cabinet and make it part of the festive decoration. All good to go for the next day’s iftar.
A true feast for the senses. The embossed geometric pattern on the ceramics gives the surface a decorative structure that can be seen and felt.
The limited GOKVÄLLÅ collection will be available in selected stores from February 1. Click here to see all new IKEA collections.
