A Light Apartment with a Sage Green Kitchen
In a fine Art Deco building in Stockholm, you can find this lovely two-bedroom apartment with original details and a social floor plan. A light color scheme, fine original floors, high ceilings, and wonderful light from slatted original windows create a lovely atmosphere for this Swedish apartment.
The apartment has a great social floor plan with a spacious kitchen in the center and an open layout to the living room. The 63 square meter apartment has two bedrooms, the smallest of which is the master bedroom and the large one is a charming children’s room with bunk beds.
The cream-white color on the walls and the light wooden floorboards create a neutral and light base for the living room, which is decorated with stylish Scandinavian furniture and bright color accents in the decor.
Two large slatted windows overlooking the courtyard fill the room with light.
The kitchen is the heart of the home, and from here, you can reach all rooms. The kitchen cabinets are hand painted in a combination of beige and green. The upper cabinets are painted in ‘Portland Stone’ and the lower cabinets in ‘Sir Luytens Sage’ from Little Greene.
The beige and green cabinets are paired with a solid oak worktop and white tiles.
In front of the window, a cozy bench with storage has been created using the same color as the cabinets.
The spacious kitchen has plenty of room for a large dining table. The current owners opted for a round table with bold red chairs, but you can also easily fit a larger table with a built-in bench for more seating space.
The smallest bedroom is the master bedroom, which is just big enough for a double bed.
The walls and built-in wardrobe are painted the same color: ‘Spice Green’ by Jotun.
The largest bedroom is a charming children’s room with walls painted in ‘Devine’ from Jotun, paired with ochre yellow and pink.
