A Lovely Apartment Owned By The Same Family for Almost 100 Years
This apartment in Stockholm not only has a great interior but also has a great story to tell. The apartment has been passed down in the female part of the family since the property was built in 1932. The current owner received it as a gift from her grandmother when she was only eight years old.
But that 100-year history comes to an end as the current owner decided to sell the 44-square-meter apartment in Stockholm’s Södermalm area. The small home is painted in a muted beige and green palette, creating calm spaces that feel comfortable and inviting.

The living room is big enough for a comfortable seating area and a dining table. The room is decorated in contrasting colors, with a mat green hue from Alcro behind the sofa and a beige hue from Jotun on the other.

Natural light flows into the room via a generous four-part window with a deep marble window sill.

The walls are adorned with art, creating a personal interior.

There is an open layout between the hall and the living room, making it feel more spacious. The lacquered pine slats on the floor give a warm vibe to the space.

Via the hall, you enter the small kitchen from from Marbodal with a stainless steel sink and additional work surfaces with solid worktop from Ballingslöv.

I love these historic Swedish apartments with a glass section between the kitchen and the bedroom. The room beyond the kitchen was originally built as a dining room, but even in the 30s, the old dining rooms were often used as bedrooms.

The bedroom is a cozy space with gray walls and earthy-toned accessories for warmth. The bedroom also gives access to a balcony.

The bedroom even has space for a cot with a terracotta canopy for a warm color accent.

The hallway is fitted with built-in cabinets and an open shoe and coat cabinet.
