I love it when old buildings are given a new life as long as the history of the building is respected. I’ve posted many converted spaces in my blogging years. From schools to churches and old warehouse buildings. It’s lovely to see the old charateristic elements in a home.
This canal home in Amsterdam used to be a warehouse and is now a protected building so many of the old elements have been preserved. Throughout the loft you see the old constructing beams which adds warmth to the space.
And even though the space is very large, Bricks Studio designed it to feel very warm and cozy. Also with the help of the darker colours in the framework and that dramatic black tiled bathroom is just heavenly!
