A Modern Garage Conversion in The Netherlands
Apart from the entrance, nothing in this luxurious apartment in The Netherlands suggests you’re in a former garage, but it’s true. In 2020, interior architecture studio 2K/Plan2000 converted a garage in The Hague into luxurious apartments and this one is by far the biggest.
The 300 square meter apartment is located over two floors and includes a courtyard garden and a balcony. The high ceilings, luxurious materials, and warm color tones create a unique home that’s comfortable, cozy, and grand.
You enter the home through the steel doors in the indoor garage. On the left is a spiral staircase with wooden sound-proof panels that leads you to the first floor.
You’re welcomed by a warm atmosphere in the sitting room thanks to the wood-paneled wall that houses the television and the orange-brown color on the walls.
Double height ceilings add a loft vibe to the garage conversion.
From the sitting room, you move into a grand space that houses the kitchen, dining area, and home bar.
The luxurious kitchen has everything you need. On two sides, they added high cabinets to provide storage, while in the center, they placed a social kitchen island with bar seating and a warm wood paneled accent, similar to the one in the sitting room.
Next to the kitchen is a unique fireplace with a zinc wall that runs all the way to the first-floor ceiling.
The dining space also gives access to the courtyard garden.
The first floor has four bedrooms. The master bedroom has a large custom-made walk-in closet and a beautiful design ensuite bathroom.
From the master bedroom you have access to the sunny balcony that is located above the garden.
The bathroom is fitted with Kronos tiles, and luxurious Hot Bath built-in taps and furniture.
The bedrooms at the front have the characteristic windows of the old building.
The house is listed with Verra Makelaars for € 2.000.000
