A Pink deVOL Shaker Kitchen with a Glazed Pantry in an Edwardian House
Tucked away in the lush, leafy conservation area of Mapesbury in Northwest London lies a home (and a kitchen) that quietly stuns. Behind its Edwardian façade is a kitchen that’s as elegant as it is functional; it is a timeless deVOL Shaker design that feels fresh and familiar.
This kitchen is a masterclass in contrast: soft yet grounded, feminine yet traditional. It’s that effortless balance that creates such a welcoming, uncontrived space. The home’s architecture, like high ceilings, stucco, a ceiling rosette, and natural light, forms the perfect backdrop for this new, classic deVOL kitchen.

The grand space has an L-shaped kitchen on one side and a perfect built-in pantry with glass doors on the other. Standing between these elements is the dark wood deVOL Dairy Table with Bentwood Café Stools. The Kansa ‘Rise and Fall Fabric Ceiling Light’ hangs above the island.
Painted in deVOL’s charming ‘Princelet Pink’, the Shaker cupboards are perfectly complemented by creamy subway tiles and bold Arabescato marble countertops.
An antique glazed cupboard sits in the corner, which is perfect for displaying glassware, and it enhances the classic, historic vibe in the room.
On the other side of the island, they added a perfect glazed pantry. The bespoke pantry is lined with slender shelves and pretty fabric panels, creating the perfect balance between style and functionality.
I absolutely adore this deVOL kitchen. The new kitchen pairs beautifully with the original Edwardian architecture and classic herringbone parquet floor. It is like this kitchen was always meant to be in this room.
