A Charming Midcentury Apartment with a Reading Room
Just south of Stockholm, in an area with a small-town feel, lies this charming midcentury apartment with three bedrooms and a social, open living space and kitchen.
The midcentury apartment has a semi-open floor plan and windows in two directions, creating a light-filled living space. Original elements like the wooden floor, glass-framed double doors, and kitchen cabinets have been preserved from the time the apartment was built.

The living room is a charming space with white walls and the original Dutch parquet floor. The room is south-facing and has a balcony, extending the living area in the warmer months.

Thanks to the large south-facing windows and the semi-open layout with the kitchen, the room gets natural light from two directions, creating a wonderful, airy atmosphere.

The room is big enough for a comfortable sitting area with layered textiles and graphic patterns and a dining table by the balcony window.

The apartment features the original kitchen, though the workbenches have been raised to fit modern times. The white cabinets are paired with a solid wood countertop.

There is room for a small kitchen table in the niche. The current owners opted for a vintage table and chairs which suit the historic vibe of the kitchen very well.

From the living room, original glass-framed double doors from the year the house was built lead into a library room.

This charming reading room is fitted with IKEA Eket cabinets, plants, art, and a rattan sofa. It is a very welcoming space that you simply want to spent time in.

The master bedroom is a light space where the walls and floorboards are painted white. Layered textiles on the bed create a cozy atmosphere.

There is a small room with a window facing the library room that is now used as a children’s room.
