Revisiting a Bright Scandi Apartment with a Gray Kitchen

When I saw this home, I thought, ‘Well, this looks a bit familiar.’ So, I went through my previous blog posts and saw that I had featured this home before. In 2023, this bright Scandinavian apartment was listed for sale, and now it has come on the market again, so we can tour this lovely apartment a second time, with slightly altered decor.

The apartment is located in a turn-of-the-century building in Stockholm and pairs original features with modern elements. The original elements, such as wooden floors, moldings, mirrored doors, and mirrored panels in deep window niches, provide a pretty setting, and tall windows provide the room with plenty of natural light.

The living room sits at the center of the floor plan, with a kitchen on one side and the bedrooms on the other. Two tall windows bring in natural light, and the white-painted walls enhance that bright atmosphere.

dining table

The space in front of the windows is the perfect spot for a large dining table; here, they have combined it with a mixture of chairs. I always love that.

The wooden shelves and the brown sofa were left behind by the previous owners, as you can also spot them in the previous home tour (a link to that post at the end of the article).

A wide doorway connects the living room and the kitchen. It creates a social and open layout while also keeping clear, separate spaces.

The kitchen is modern, charming, and bright. Minimalistic gray cabinets are paired with a Carrara marble countertop and backsplash.

On one side, they fitted floor-to-ceiling cabinets, and the floors are in classic style with white and black diamond tiles.

On the other side of the living room, you can find the two bedrooms. First, you enter the master bedroom with walls painted in antique white and wooden floorboards.

An industrial glass door separates the two bedrooms and also allows natural light to flow into the second bedroom.

The second bedroom is now turned into a charming children’s bedroom. You can access this room via the master bedroom or the hall.

walk-in closet

There are no wardrobes in the bedroom because there is a walk-in closet that can be accessed via the hall. The walls are painted in a lovely burgundy red and paired with a sisal carpet.

The small bathroom is designed with classic white tiles on the walls, Carrara marble hexagon floor tiles, and a mint green vanity cabinet from Ballingslöv.

The new owners made some changes to the apartment. The bedrooms were switched and it is decorated with other furniture (apartment from the sofa and shelves). The main elements, like the kitchen and the bathroom, have stayed the same. You can see the previous home tour by clicking here.
