A Small Apartment with Green Color Accents and a Cozy Patio Terrace
This one-bedroom apartment lies on the ground floor of a turn-of-the-century building in Stockholm. The apartment has a unique crescent-shaped layout, surrounding a private courtyard terrace that can be accessed from the living room.
Period details like high ceilings, a ceiling rose, herringbone parquet floors, and old windows with deep window niches have been preserved from the year of construction. These elements add character to the apartment, and they are paired with contemporary elements like a new kitchen and bathroom.

The apartment’s floor plan is only 43 square meters. The owners opted for an open-plan layout to maximize the feeling of space, and there are no internal doors between the living room, bedroom, hall, and kitchen.
There is a charming dining niche in the corner of the living room with an internal window in the wall facing the bedroom, to ensure the space gets natural light.
The old restored sash window adds a lovely historic touch to the space.
The walls in the living room are painted beige, while all the woodwork is painted in Antique White.
Double glass doors open to the private courtyard terrace, a lovely extension to the living area in the warmer months.
The private deck is the owner’s own sunny, private haven in the communal courtyard. Thanks to the shape of the apartment, the patio is secluded.
The living room opens directly into the small bedroom with windows in two directions. The walls are painted in a lovely light green shade.
The door in the bedrooms opens into a spacious walk-in wardrobe.
On the other side of the apartment lies the charming, small, and functional kitchen. The room was renovated a couple of years ago, adding light green cabinets with wooden countertops and white backsplash tiles.
The deep window niche has been taken advantage of and fitted with drawers and extra countertop space.
The apartment’s high ceilings ensure the owners could add a double row of upper cabinets, so there is plenty of storage space despite being a small kitchen.
The bathroom is simple and stylish with light gray and white tiles, built-in shelves, and a fluted sink atop a white cabinet.
