A Small Swedish Apartment with a Social and Semi-Open Floorplan
Looking out over lush greenery stands a Swedish apartment complex that was built in the 1930s. This complex houses today’s small apartment of only 38 square meters with an semi-open floorplan and a social kitchen space.
The apartment has a pleasant floorplan with a large social kitchen on one side of the hall and the living room with half open bedroom on the other side. With windows on two sides and built in closets that provide lots of storage space help to make this small home feel more spacious than its actual square meters.
The living room is small but with large windows and a balcony facing the lush trees outside, it’s a very pleasant space.
Nature has also been brought indoors with the hanging plants on the bookshelf above the window.
Adjacent to the living room lies a lovely balcony with beautiful views. Looking at these pictures you can hardly imagine that this apartment is located close to Stockholm city center.
The living room is designed in a semi open floorplan with a sleeping alcove. The space is painted in a calm green shade, matching the greenery outside.
There is also an open layout toward the hallway, where you can find a beautiful vintage desk and the apartment’s built in wardrobes.
From the seating area, you have a direct view to the social kitchen on the other side of the apartment. This open floorplan also creates light spaces as the light coming from both windows flows though the entire apartment.
The kitchen is a social space with light green walls and green cabinets paired with a wooden worktop and white tiles.
On the other side, there is space for a generous dining table, making this room perfect for dinner parties.
The bathroom was recently renovated with white tilework and green hexagon tiles on the floor.
