A Teal Green Living Room and Large Windows in a Swedish Apartment
Are you a fan of bold colors in your home? This two-bedroom apartment in a 19th-century building in Gothenburg features teal green walls in the open-plan living space, which make a bold statement.
A couple of years ago, this apartment wasn’t in a good state, but the new owners renovated the home into the bright and stylish home it is today. They changed the layout of the apartment and added a new floor, kitchen, and bathroom.

There are two things that instantly draw you in, and those are the bold teal green shade on the walls and the huge windows, adding a touch of warehouse apartment style to the home.

Even though the windows face the courtyard with other houses in close proximity, the windows flood the room with natural light.

This apartment may be located in an old building, but the interior spaces are very modern. The green walls contrast nicely with the white kitchen and oak parquet floor.

A cozy sitting area has been created by the huge windows. A cozy rug defines the space, which is paired with light-colored furnishings. The sheer terracotta curtains add a warm tone to the room.

The huge kitchen island creates a natural divider between cooking and living, while also adding to the social atmosphere of the room thanks to the bar stools.

Simple white cabinets are paired with a stone countertop, creating a stylish cooking area.

The apartment has two bedrooms. The master bedroom is decorated in a fresh white palette paired with a pastel-colored rug.

The niche has been fitted with an open wardrobe system. If you like a system like this but you don’t want it in full view, you often see homeowners adding a sheer curtain to semi-hide it from view while also adding some texture to the room.

The second bedroom is now used as a home office, featuring a vibrant pink painted wall, a sofa, and a wall-mounted desk with bookshelves.

Even though the renovated bathroom has a classic black and white color scheme, it feels like a bold choice because of the large black walls. The spacious room has a freestanding bath, a shower with a simple industrial glass shower wall, and large black floor tiles.

There is an open connection between the entry hall and the living space. The owners used a wallpaper (“Fantasque” by Osborne and Little) in a similar color palette to the walls in the living room.

The apartment is listed for sale at Alvhem.
