I love Spanish-style houses. The beautiful woodwork, the terracotta tiles and the attention to detail give homes like this so much charm. Actor Rainn Wilson and his writer partner Holiday Reinhorn bought this Spanish-style hacienda in California and it’s a creative, boho dream!
The home was in great state when they bought it (the previous owner lived here since the 70s) so they only made some changes to make it ready for the 21st-century. A new kitchen was installed and glass sliders throughout the home were replaced with steel windows and French doors. The couple has idiosyncratic tastes which is reflected in the interiors which is inspired by their travels through Haiti and Morocco.
There’s a definite bohemian feel to it as well, with the mix of colors, styles and textures which is especially noticable in the living room. The large space has pale pink walls, layered Moroccan rugs, terracotte tile floor and the beautiful wooden beams and ceiling is also visible which give the space even more warmth. I love the creative, boho vibe in this home, what a beauty!
