A Tiny Pink Stockholm Studio Apartment with Plenty of Storage
On the fifth and top floor of a 1940s apartment building in Stockholm, you can find this charming studio apartment, decorated in warm color tones from beige to terracotta pink and rich burgundy.
Thanks to the western position of the 25 square meter apartment, it has a magnificent view of the Högalidskyrkan, the park, and the 18th-century Kristinehov Malmgård farm, a nice rural touch despite being located in the hip Södermalm area in Stockholm.

The studio apartment was recently renovated, featuring smart and well-planned interior spaces with a clever bed nook, a space-efficient kitchen, and built-in storage.

The apartment’s large window offers a magnificent view, and in the evening you can see the sunset.

Despite having a very small floor plan, the apartment has a comfortable seating area, a place for a dining table in front of the window, and even space for a piano.

On the other side, low drawer cabinets add more storage and space for a television or books.

Living small means being clever with storage space, and in this apartment, a wall-mounted cabinet is fitted high on the wall for extra storage. It is painted in the same pink hue as the walls to make it blend in.

The large round mirror reflects the light coming from the large window, making the room feel brighter and larger.

The kitchen is very small but functional. Designed by an interior designer and built on-site, it features kitchen cabinets painted in a warm apricot color topped with custom-made stainless steel counters and an integrated hob from Smeg.

About Södermalm – Stockholm
Södermalm (or Söder in short) is an island just south of Stockholm’s Old Town (Gamla Stan). It has transformed from an impoverished area at the beginning of the 20th century into the most trendy neighborhood in Stockholm (and one of the coolest areas in the world, according to Vogue).
What to do: Södermalm is known for its cozy cafés, restaurants, and shops (including many vintage shops such as Beyond Retro and Grandpa). The island also offers beautiful views from the city. Walk up on Mariaberget or Skinnarviksberget and snap a picture of Sweden’s most beautiful city, or go for a swim at Långholmen.
Museums: Fotografiska Museum, Stockholm City Museum
You can take a guided 2-hour tour of Södermalm to fully immerse yourself in this trendy area. And if you’re interested in the brewery history, take a guided walk that includes a beer tasting at a secret location.
Where to stay: Stockholm Stadshotell, Hotel Frantz, NoFo Hotel

Next to the kitchen, you will find the cozy sleeping alcove that can be hidden from view by a curtain.
The niche accommodates a 140 cm-wide bed and features drawers under the bed. a wall-mounted cabinet above the bed with a display shelf that works as a nightstand, and built-in wardrobes.

The small hall is painted in a rich burgundy color and features floor-to-ceiling storage space along one wall.

The bathroom is fully tiled and features a nice mosaic border and underfloor heating. A mirror cabinet topped with a shelf adds storage to the small space.
