A Teeny Tiny Studio Apartment with a Loft Bed in Stockholm

Could you live on only 15 square meters? I don’t mind living small, but this sounds very small to me. However, I have just seen this studio apartment in Stockholm, and actually, they make it work.

The studio is located on the ground floor of an early 20th-century apartment building in the trendy Södermalm area, and because of this building period, the tiny home is blessed with high ceilings, creating space for a loft bed.

Older buildings immediately add character to a home, and this apartment features beautiful wooden floorboards, a large window with deep niches (you can use that as storage), and an inner window above the door leading to the hall.

The tall window is used for hanging plants, bringing a little of the green courtyard garden into the apartment. A wooden folding table provides a nice dining space looking over the communal garden.

As mentioned, the apartment features a loft bed, creating space underneath for a sofa, though in this apartment they opted for a double bed under the loft that can also be used as a seating space.

The cream walls and wooden floor create a calm base for this tiny space, but in the textiles, the owners added pastel color accents.

The window above the door is a nice historical element in this apartment, and it allows natural light to flow into the hall area.

Next to the doorway is the tiny kitchenette. With a sink and a small stove, it has everything you need. Shelves and a hanging rod provide storage space without adding bulky cabinets that will make the room feel even smaller.

The small niche next to the window is fitted with a built-in desk and wooden shelves, providing a nice work area as well as storage and decorative space. A stool instead of a chair keeps it as airy as possible.

For such a small apartment, it has a surprisingly spacious hall. The wooden floorboards are painted in a light gray hue, and the walls are decorated with light wallpaper. Baskets hanging on the walls provide storage for small items, and there is also a built-in closet.

The simple bathroom is designed with light tiles on the walls and a contrasting dark one on the floor. Tiny but neat and functional.
